Be Yourself. Be Happy.

Of the grand order of folio leviathans, the Sperm Whale and the Right Whale are by far the most noteworthy. They are the only whales regularly hunted by man. To the Nantucketer, they present the two extremes of all the known varieties of the whale. As the external difference between them is mainly observable in their heads; and as a head of each is this moment hanging from the Pequod's side.

Stay Positive. Always.

Total Eclipse of the Moon Coming Mar. 13-14

A total eclipse of the Moon will be visible to everyone in North and South America on the night of March 13 to 14, 2025. (March 14th is often celebrated as Pi Day and is also Einstein’s birthday!)
I wanted to give you a heads-up (if you pardon the expression from an astronomer,) so you can plan ahead.
Total eclipses of the Moon are very democratic — perfectly safe to look at and not requiring any special equipment to see. The unfortunate thing is that many parts of North America will see the eclipse in the middle of the night – which might lead to some very tired co-workers or students coming in the next morning.
My full information sheet, with eclipse times for each time zone, can be found at: http://bit.ly/2025eclipse
I wish you a clear night on March 13th.  Take someone with you to see the eclipse with whom you like to spend time in the dark!
